Who we areWe are a group of Bible-believing Christians with a common passion who have become partners for a greater vision.
VisionOur vision is to share the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of the Father, and the unity of the Holy Spirit with as many people as possible. (2 Corinthians 13:14)

HistoryStuart and Ruth Carlson were both raised overseas as third generation missionary kids - Stuart in Peru and Ruth in Nigeria - and both have an interest in foreign ministries.
In the late 1990's, Stuart and Ruth as a couple started partnering with a ministry in Nigeria called Joi Ministries, which was later renamed Alternorm Ministries. In 2000, in order to facilitate communications with partnering ministries, they created their own non-profit 501c3 organization, Partners in Joy, Inc. Over the years, Partners in Joy grew to partner with not only Alternorm, but also with a growing number of other Christ-centered ministries in Nigeria, South America, and the United States.
