Planting Brighter Futures

About Us

Moses Abraham, born and raised in Nigeria, has been passionate about ministry and helping others since he was 19. His wife Alexis began showing interest in ministry when she was 15 and went on her first missions trip to Nigeria. They met in 2012 when Alexis went on a missions trip and they married in 2014. After they married they lived in Nigeria for three years before returning Stateside. They now reside in Michigan with their four children.

Vision

To raise a generation of God-loving, purpose-driven young men in Kogi State, Nigeria who know their identity in Christ and are able to transform their families, communities and future generations through faith, integrity and excellence.

Ministry

Planting Brighter Futures was born out of a God-given burden placed on the heart of Moses Abraham, who grew up in Nigeria and witnessed firsthand the struggles of young men lacking mentorship, direction, and hope. His passion for ministry began at the age of 19, driven by a desire to see lives transformed through faith and purpose. Alexis Abraham developed her love for ministry at 15, when she joined her first missions’ trip to Nigeria. It was during one of these trips in 2012 that she met Moses, and together they discovered a shared vision to serve and uplift others through Christ. After marrying in 2014, they lived in Nigeria for three years, actively serving and mentoring young men before returning to Michigan, where they continue their mission alongside their four children.
From these humble beginnings, the ministry was founded to mentor and empower Nigerian young men, helping them break cycles of poverty, hopelessness, and spiritual emptiness. Though still in its early stages, Planting Brighter Futures is dedicated to building a nurturing community where young men can grow into strong, faithful, and capable leaders who will uplift others and shine the light of Christ wherever they go.
By empowering Nigerian young people to achieve their God-given dreams and goals, we aim to see a generation of leaders, innovators, and changemakers arise, who will transform their communities and world for Christ.
